Microsoft agreed to provide Windows users with a browser-choice screen in order to settle claims by European antitrust authorities that Microsoft's bundling of Explorer with Windows stifles competition and creates an unfair playing field for rivals such as Google and its Chrome browser, Mozilla's Firefox, Apple's Safari and Opera Software's browsers.
So, which browser should you choose? Last month, new versions of both Google's Chrome and Mozilla's Firefox were launched, signalling a new round in a battle for market share dubbed the "browser wars".
